Psychic imprints are imprints of energy put off by the mind. As your soul is an energy, the mind has its own energies as well. Imprints of this type can sometimes contain memories of what occurred at the time that the imprint was left behind. Very few people can see or interact with psychic energy, although some creatures might have the innate ability to. Even still, getting a full read of the imprint generally doesn't happen. A skilled psionicist might be able to surmise many important details, but the full picture doesn't appear instantly, if it will ever. The rest of it will rely on their individual logic.
